The satellite chip is much faster and gets an instant fix, the HR/satellite accuracy is brilliant, and the new display/backlight is much better and less power hungry than previous generations. I've not noticed much effect from the Solar charging, but it's better

Vi har fått inn de to råeste modellene til test – 5 Plus og 5X Plus. Den tredje modelle, 5S Plus, er ganske lik – men litt mindre, og beregnet på smalere håndledd. I denne testen skal vi fokusere på toppmodellen, 5X Plus Sapphire – men vi har også brukt 5 Plus på noen løpeturer, og vil også nevne denne i testen.
The reason I asked that question is because of battery health. Batteri is supposed to be fresh (ish) and will degrade fast if they are left without charge for a long time. When I got home and unpacked the watch, It was drained of course and I think it's been in the store for many months (not many people buy this expensive watch here in my town).

I think that the Sapphire screen on Fenix 6 has some kind of coating on top of the glass, which doesn't make any sense to have because it's definitely softer than sapphire. My Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Sapphire…. peterfriisostergaard over 4 years ago in reply to C.sco +4. I also got quite a large scratch in my fenix 6 sapphire which I didn't notice

\GARMIN\SLEEP \GARMIN\MONITOR. connect the watch to your computer, go into those folders, if you see hundreds of FIT files in those two, delete any file older than a couple months (only in those folders) I do not know why the watch or garmin-connect fails to do this kind of maintenance on it's own, likely a bug
